Continuous Professional Development (CPD) – Mandatory 50 Hours
Kendriya Vidyalaya Kamakhyanagar is committed to the continuous professional growth and capacity building of its teachers and staff. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is an integral part of the professional development framework, enabling teachers to enhance their knowledge, skills, pedagogical practices and understanding of emerging educational needs.
As per the prescribed guidelines, teachers are required to undertake 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) every year. The CPD activities include participation in training programmes, workshops, seminars, webinars, orientation programmes, subject-specific training, capacity-building sessions and other approved professional learning activities.
At KV Kamakhyanagar, teachers are encouraged to actively participate in CPD programmes organised by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Regional Office, CBSE, NCERT, NISHTHA and other recognised agencies. The school also promotes in-house professional development through staff meetings, peer learning, sharing of best practices, collaborative lesson planning, ICT-based learning and discussions on contemporary educational approaches.
